COMEDY WITH STYLE - ROBERT ALLEN
Chicago-born Robert Allen has
performed his special brand of comedy and magic on stage,
television, and film with continued success. His unique ability
to make people see the funny side of real life situations has
delighted audiences from coast to coast. He is an exciting
performer whose humor covers everything from Airports to
Zip-lock bags.
Robert began preparing for his
professional career at the age of nine when he started studies
on the guitar. Later he continued his musical education at the
Chicago Conservatory of Music. In high school, his Rock/Jazz
band won several city and state awards. An interest in magic and
acting prompted him to attend improvisation workshops where he
perfected his timing and honed his comedic and magic skills.
During the 1970s Robert toured
the country with his own comedy and magic show where he shared
the spotlight with celebrities Count Basie, The Four Seasons,
Duke Ellington, Buddy Greco, Johnny Ray, Tony Martin and many
others. He was also a featured act at Hollywood's famed "Magic
Castle."
Since that time Robert Allen has
become a popular favorite at some of Nevada's most famous
entertainment venues. His regular appearances in the showrooms
of Las Vegas and Reno have made him a hit with audiences and
show people alike. Whether it is opening for rocker Jerry Lee
Lewis, appearing at The Improv or staring in the Tropicana
Hotel's "Follies Bergere," his magical humor reaches audiences
of all ages.
As an actor Robert has done
numerous television commercials as well as working on "Crime
Story " and the popular TV series "Vegas." As a member of the
"Screen Actors Guild" his film credits include "Harley Davidson
and The Marlboro Man" with Don Johnson, "Fear and Loathing in
Las Vegas" staring Johnny Depp and "The Runner" with Joe
Mantagna.
Robert's most recent role is that
of producer and director. He has recently formed Robert Allen
Productions, a Las Vegas based company serving the needs of the
today's entertainment industry. His extensive experience and
background in show business serves him well on the other side of
the lights. Robert is currently the Producer - Director of The
Haunted Vegas Tour & Show. A paranormal ghost
experience appearing at the Greek Isles Casino in Las Vegas,
Nevada.
A long time member of "The
International Brotherhood of Magicians," Robert was recently
inducted into "The Order of Merlin" for over 25 years of
continuous membership. His love for the art of magic prompted
him to create "The Las Vegas Magic Invitational" a four day
convention held every year, in Las Vegas, for the magic
community. A certified and registered Hypnotist, Robert is also
a long standing member of "The American Board of Hypnotherapy."
A successful business man, Robert
Allen is the owner of Robert Allen Studios a 24 hour rehearsal
facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. |
